Religious School Teacher

Temple Akiba of Culver City. is seeking part-time religious school teachers for Sunday mornings and/or Tuesday afternoons for the 2024/2025 school year. We are seeking energetic and enthusiastic individuals who want to not only teach but also learn from and cultivate community with our students. Our program inspires learners to explore their Jewish identity with curiosity, compassion, and wonder. We approach Jewish learning through movement, music, art, games, and more.

A good candidate for this job is creative, flexible, responsive, organized and passionate about Judaism.

 Job Details:

• Sunday mornings from 9am-12pm and/or Tuesday afternoons 4pm-5:30pm. There are breaks for holidays and school breaks.
• Prepare weekly lessons with provided curriculum outlines.
• Be in communication with parents monthly through email.
• Attend occasional staff meetings/professional development sessions.
• Attend one grade-based Friday night Shabbat service a year

Salary range is $30-$60/hr. (based on experience) plus paid prep and training hours.
