Position Overview:
Jewish National Fund-USA seeks an Associate to work under the Travel and Tours/Conference Department. This position will be based full-time out of Jewish National Fund-USA's NYC Headquarters.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work with the Associate Executive Director and Chief Strategy Officer in developing, planning, promoting, and executing Jewish National Fund-USA missions/tours and facilitating donor travel to Israel and our annual Global Conference for Israel.
- Assist Associate Executive Director in executing Jewish National Fund's Missions, Day Tours, donor travel, and general travel requests
- Oversee and regularly update internal working itineraries and share with internal and external stakeholders as required
- Create and update travel itineraries used for external promotion and distribution
- Coordinate Major Donor travel requests and act as principal liaison officer between internal and external stakeholders, including professional staff, donors, travel service providers and other involved parties
- Oversee and respond to travel and conference inquiries and distribute information regarding Jewish National Fund-USA Travel and Tours accordingly
- Prepare reports regularly as required for the Missions Department and Executive Management
- Manage Monthly Tours to Israel – single day volunteer options offered to those already in Israel. Work with Travel team to coordinate logistics and manage registration
- Liaison with the Marketing Department and our external travel agent in providing content for various marketing and promotional materials including flyers, itineraries, registration forms, and more
- Accurately record, monitor, and update information in our database that relates to missions/tours/global conference, personal client data, participant evaluations, post-trip reports, etc.
- Process travel invoices and prepare payment requests
- Collect and synthesize information from post-trip/conference evaluation reports and distribute as required
- You will be expected to be available nights and weekends and have the ability to travel as needed.
- Any other duties assigned by your Supervisor
Qualifications:
- Superb interpersonal skills including communication and organizational skills
- Superior customer service and telephone etiquette
- Must be extremely dependable and be able to work quickly and accurately
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task projects to meet deadlines and manage activities within a busy office
- Must be flexible and able to accommodate last minute requests
- Strong computer skills (including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Salesforce database) and basic math/accounting skills are a must
- Ability to work nights and weekends
- Previous experience in development organization preferred
- BA/BS degree is preferred
