Job Description

Beit Rabban seeks a full-time floating teacher to hold primary substitute teaching responsibilities across all grades. This position, often held for one to two years, offers the opportunity for an early career educator to gain broad experience across grades and subject areas. The position is well suited to a person taking courses at night because it does not require much preparation. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree. Education focus preferred.
• Experience teaching in formal or informal settings.
• High level of flexibility and ability to happily adapt to changing plans.
• Comfort teaching across general and Judaic subject areas.
• Committed to facilitating the growth of each child, intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually.
• Determined to meet the needs of diverse learners and build on the inherent talents of each child.
• Direct and kind approach to communication with students, colleagues, and parents.
• Joyful and creative approach to problem solving.
• Identify with Beit Rabban’s ethos to be a community that celebrates our diversity of Jewish affiliation and practice and that grows a deep love and ownership of Judaism among our students.

Salary Range

$45,000 plus competitive benefits.
