Job Overview: The Managing Director will provide strategic leadership and operational
oversight for Hiddr Meats and Hiddr Hospitality, growing and positioning the business on
the foundation of our strong kosher meat production and idyllic retreat facilities. This role
requires a background in business development and experience in the hospitality or
kosher food industries. The ideal candidate will have a passion for good food, sustainable
agriculture, local / regional market resilience, the outdoors, and purpose-driven
community, along with sound business acumen.

with the highest standards of ecological stewardship and humane treatment, as well as the
highest quality kosher meat. Unlike other providers, we raise the cattle ourselves on our
beautiful pastures in Central Virginia—and it makes a difference. Hiddr challenges the
“slaughter, pack, ship” model of kosher meat by leveraging our on-the-ground advantages,
local and regional relationships, bulk-buying opportunities, and hospitality packages, into
strong, long-term customer relations. Hiddr is looking not only to sell Kosher meat but to
change the way people think about their relationship to farming, land, community, and
celebration.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement goals and strategies to drive growth and profitability in
both hospitality and meat production, aligned with the company’s mission.
• Foster a culture of responsibility and communication among staff as well as with
vendors and customers.
• Develop and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts for the meat and
hospitality divisions.
• Monitor performance, analyze key metrics, and implement strategies to achieve
targets.
• Oversee meat production, storage, and distribution, including slaughterhouse
relations, packaging, and inventory management.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including guests,
customers, vendors, and community partners across the Mid-Atlantic region.
• Help to improve and modify guest services / event experiences and
accommodations, based on market feedback and cost control.
• Optimize administrative and organizational aspects of operations, including
customer service, marketing and hospitality teams.• Communicate regularly and organize reporting to owner and CFO along with
leadership team (including herd manager and event manager).
• Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to maintain a competitive edge
and promote a culture of innovation and improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree; MBA preferred; Rabbinic knowledge not necessary but valued.
• Track record of successfully growing and scaling a business.
• Experience as a manager.
• Background in food & hospitality industry and / or meat production.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership, and decision-making skills.
• Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Social and interpersonal skills, to build relationships with stakeholders.
• Working on-site is preferred, a hybrid role is possible if the applicant is willing and
able to be on-site in Covesville, VA every two weeks.
Starting Salary:
$100-150k starting salary, plus incentive pay / options, commensurate with qualifications and experience
