The Karsh Family Social Service Center (the “Karsh Center”) at Wilshire Boulevard Temple is in the heart of Los Angeles’s Koreatown neighborhood. The Karsh Center, established in 2016, is a social service center offering integrated services focusing on Food and Nutrition Security, Health and Wellness, Community Services, and Parent and Child Well-being for individuals and families living near the Karsh Center and across Los Angeles. Centralizing these services directly with the assistance of volunteers and through a collaboration of providers at the Karsh Center enables us to offer a variety of vital services to our community.
In the spring of 2024, we proudly opened the Karsh Tikkun Olam Social Service Center (“Karsh West”) at Wilshire Boulevard Temple’s Resnick Family Campus in Brentwood as an extension of the Karsh Center on the Westside. Karsh West does not provide direct client-facing on-site services but is a hub for volunteers and tikkun olam (repairing the world), serving a network of collaborators, organizations, and communities on the Westside and the Karsh Center in Koreatown. At this site, we facilitate opportunities for volunteers of all ages who are invested in learning, doing, and creating a better world through the Karsh Center’s four main program pillars.
The Karsh Center is a 501 (c)(3) non-religious organization.
