Description

Program Specialist (MHWOW)

Mem Global Hub Office: Chicago (preferred); NYC (preferred); Washington D.C.; Encinitas, CA; or Charlotte, NC.

Who We Are:

Mem Global is where Jewish young adults in their 20s and early 30s come to connect, explore, and create meaningful Jewish experiences with their peers (yes, there’s probably food involved). As the umbrella brand for our global suite of programs, Mem Global supports young adults as they bring Judaism to life through thousands of peer-driven gatherings across 25+ countries each year. We’re all about creating spaces where Jewish young adults can learn, lead, and build the kind of community that feels like family.

The MHWOW (Moishe House Without Walls) team at Mem Global is seeking a Program Specialist to engage in relationship building, networking, and recruitment of young adults to be leaders in building community in their hometown. This role manages existing MHWOW Hosts from our North American communities while growing MHWOW in cities where the organization has a substantial Mem Global presence.

The hundreds of MHWOW (pronounced letter “M”, letter “H”, and WOW) Hosts around the world gather their peers for Jewish experiences that range from Friday night Shabbat dinners to holiday celebrations, learning events, and cultural celebrations. MHWOW Hosts decide who they want to invite, where they want to host, what they want to explore in Judaism, and when they want to gather. This flexibility empowers MHWOW Hosts to explore, create, or refine their own Jewish practice. MHWOW hosts receive funding and resources to make programs relevant and accessible to their communities.

All voices are needed at Mem Global (please see our  identity statements for more detail). Every new member of the Mem Global team is an opportunity for us to introduce fresh perspectives, talent, and skills into our workforce and our communities.
