Position Overview:

Jewish National Fund-USA seeks a dynamic and results-driven Director to lead the Dallas Metroplex fundraising campaign. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sales, investor or donor relations, and campaign growth, with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships within the Dallas Jewish community. Reporting to the Executive Director, Southwest, this role requires strategic vision, entrepreneurial spirit, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a broader team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct face-to-face meetings to solicit, cultivate, and steward donors, both new and existing. Direct donor solicitation will be a primary responsibility, constituting the majority of the role.
  • Manage a portfolio of 250-300 donors and prospects contributing $1,000+.
  • Lead, develop, and empower the local board of directors to expand the campaign in alignment with national priorities.
  • Recruit and develop new lay leadership, potentially establishing new committees or affinity groups.
  • Work closely with the Dallas Major Gifts Director to understand the history of JNF-USA in Dallas, ensure smooth transition of responsibilities, maintain campaign momentum, elevate existing donors, and strategically engage new prospects.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including marketing, events, travel & tours, Planned Giving, JNFuture, and Israel Education & Advocacy, to maximize fundraising opportunities.
  • Motivate and support lay leadership in donor recruitment and solicitation.
  • Utilize Jewish National Fund-USA's Salesforce database to track and manage donor interactions and relationships.
  • Host Israeli affiliates and facilitate engagement opportunities with donors and prospects.
  • Plan and oversee fundraising events such as parlor meetings, affinity events, and donor appreciation programs.
  • Promote and recruit participants for trips to Israel and attendees for the Jewish National Fund-USA Global Conference for Israel.
  • Deliver presentations to local groups, synagogues, and churches to communicate the value and mission of JNF-USA.
  • Attend meetings and events outside standard business hours as necessary.
  • Travel domestically and internationally, including to regional meetings, Missions to Israel, and the Global Conference for Israel.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in fundraising or a client-driven sales environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and execute strategic fundraising initiatives.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while advancing the organization's fundraising goals.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and public communication skills, including experience in public speaking and presentations.
  • In-depth knowledge of the local Jewish community and Israel.
  • Strong understanding of the non-profit donor life cycle.
  • Innovative thinker with the ability to identify and create new giving opportunities.
  • Analytical skills to analyze demographic reports and identify donor prospects (Salesforce experience preferred).
  • Valid U.S. driver's license, passport, and access to a vehicle. Candidates must also have a personal credit card for travel-related expenses (reimbursed per company policy).

Compensation:

$90,000-100,000
