ABOUT THE POSITION:
imadi is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and compassionate Program Director to oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of all stakeholder programming. This includes year-round initiatives, our transformative summer camp, hospital programming, and fundraising events. The Program Director will be highly creative, a skilled organizer, and a passionate advocate for children with complex medical needs and their families.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Make Magic:
• Develop, implement, and evaluate imadi’s programs for families and volunteers, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and goals.
• Plan, organize, and oversee imadi’s flagship summer camp, providing a safe, inclusive, and enriching environment for campers with life-changing medical conditions.
• Lead hospital programming to deliver meaningful activities for inpatient clients.
• Interface with other organizations and community stakeholders, including arranging Bnei Mitzvah projects, building and maintaining partnerships, participating in school community service fairs, and organizing toy drives.
Proper Wand Technique Includes:
• Event Planning: Oversee logistics, staffing, and budgeting for events, ensuring they run smoothly and achieve desired outcomes.
• Volunteer Engagement: Foster strong relationships with high school and community volunteers, encouraging long-term commitment and leadership development.
• Family Support: Work closely with families to understand their unique needs and tailor programming to provide meaningful support.
• Finance: Prepare and manage program budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost- effectiveness.
• Ambassadorship: Represent imadi at community events, networking opportunities, and in partnerships with hospitals and other organizations.
• Leadership:
o Serve as the direct supervisor for the coordinator of imadi’s Big Brother program,
providing guidance and support to ensure successful implementation and growth.
o Oversee and provide leadership for the future Director of Volunteer Experience once
hired, ensuring a seamless volunteer engagement strategy across all programs.
