Director of Fund Development

Objective:  A Director of Fund Development, also known as a Development Director, is a key leader for Seven Acres Jewish Care Services, responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies to secure funding through various channels, including individual donations, grants, and corporate sponsorships. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement fundraising strategies and plans to meet the organization's financial goals.
• Fundraising Activities: Organize and manage fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives.
• Donor Relations: Responsible for executing a broad-based fund development strategy to secure financial support through individuals, corporations, foundations, government and special events
• Grant Writing and Management: Supervises, identify, research, and apply for grants from foundations and other funding sources.
• Corporate Partnerships: Develop and cultivate relationships with the board, corporations and businesses for sponsorships and donations.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage the fund development budget.
• Reporting and Analysis: Track fundraising performance, analyzing data, and preparing reports for the Seven Acres leadership.
• Staff Management: Lead and managing a team of development staff.
• Communication and Outreach: Develop and implement communication strategies to engage donors and promote the organization's mission.
• Board Engagement: Work with the board of directors to support fundraising efforts and ensure alignment with the Seven Acres strategic goals.
• Community Relations: Build relationships with community stakeholders to increase awareness and support for the organization. 

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong leadership and management skills
• 5 years in Development-Fund raising
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in fundraising and development
• Knowledge of grant writing and grant management
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with donors
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in fundraising software and donor databases
• A passion for the Seven Acres mission
