Position Description:

The Events and Marketing Associate plays an important role in executing Emunah’s Development and Communications Plans.  The Associate supports the development function to ensure that all fundraising and communications activities align with the vision, mission, culture, and values of Emunah. This individual plays an essential part of Emunah’s fundraising operation.

About You:

We are looking for someone who has a deeply cares about the importance of Emunah's mission of supporting Israeli children and families in Israel. You are able to manage multiple initiatives occurring simultaneously and are interested in building connections and fostering relationships between our donors and our mission. To be successful in the role, the Associate must be a creative, super organized, detailed oriented, outside-of-the-box thinker, confident, enthusiastic, and a self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as a team player.

Key Responsibilities:                                                                                                                                  

Events Management:

  • Work with senior staff and board members to create and execute events
  • Organize and manage logistics for national and local chapters’ events, including committee meetings, large-scale Gala, Young Leadership and missions
  • Manage all vendors and event budgets
  • Work with event hosts and event committees

Marketing:

  • Create print, digital and social media marketing materials that relate to events and campaigns (i.e. Annual Report and brochures)
  • Manage social media accounts, create and write content, and conduct pro-active online engagement.
  • Ensure all messaging includes compelling fundraising language and an active call for giving.

Fundraising:

  • Reach out to donors for stewardship conversations and to set up meetings for the CEO and Directors of Philanthropy.
  • Support staff and board solicitors in major donor meetings by creating donor profiles, donor reports, and meeting memos.
  • Facilitate major donor meeting follow up.
  • Maintain and update donor database (Donor Perfect)

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in event planning and leadership development, preferably in a nonprofit or similar organization.
  • High level of comfort with Microsoft Suite and ability to learn online event platforms and donor database
  • Highly organized and motivated
  • Highly knowledgeable in social media platforms and websites like Canva, Constant Contact, and
  • Self-starter who excels at managing and prioritizing many moving parts and to-do lists
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to connect with diverse audiences.
  • Passion for the missions of Emunah of America
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
  • Hebrew fluency is a huge plus
  • Must live in the NY/NJ area
