Background

The Brotherhood Synagogue, located on Gramercy Park, is the largest Jewish congregation in downtown New York City with 800 member units. It is an independent, progressive community following the Conservative tradition. This combination allows the Synagogue to honor the spiritual and ethical heritage of the Jewish faith and celebrate the deep commitment and wide diversity of their membership. The Brotherhood is a very special place - the beautiful, warm, and welcoming atmosphere provides a home for many synagogue activities, meaningful spaces for prayer and for celebrations, education for children of all ages, classes for adults, social outreach and other programs which support and enhance the community.

Are you an enthusiastic and passionate educator looking to share your love of learning with the Jewish future?

Our in-person Hebrew School is looking to hire several different positions for our afterschool synagogue program! We would love for you to join our amazing community and our gifted school faculty!

We are looking for staff who are available to work in our 4:00-6:00pm Monday and Wednesday program.

Monday/Wednesday Positions Include:

Hebrew Language Educators Grades 3-6

Judaic Studies Educators Grades 5-6 (specifically Jewish history)

Salary range is $50-$60 per hour.
