Job Title: Marketing Director - Full time, Exempt

Supervised by: Chief Operating Officer

Ideal Candidate: The Marketing Director will be well versed in a variety of marketing/communications skills and will be able to work well in a fast-paced environment. Have great ability to balance multiple priorities and work well as part of a team. Work schedule is generally 40 hours, Mon-Fri with occasional evenings or weekend work as directed by work schedule, programs and deadlines. Judaic and non-profit knowledge preferred.

Job Summary: The Marketing Director balances creativity with structure, can effectively work with the MBJCC team to bring great ideas to life, and is committed to on-brand quality work. Ideal candidate for this role should be creative and innovative, multimedia savvy, well organized, and poses great communication/written skills. Overall supervisory and hands-on responsibility for all marketing, advertising and public relations emanating from the agency. Creative force in development of high profile image for the agency. Responsible for creating design and content and marketing MBJCC programs, services and events; media relations; community outreach; email marketing, social media, website content, direct marketing; all print publications including copy editing and approval; and consumer and market research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and implement marketing and communications long-term strategies and plan to increase brand awareness and create an image of excellence for all MBJCC programs.
  • Serve as the primary resource and support for marketing and promotional activities across the organization and all departments
  • Meet with department heads and supervisor to determine marketing needs and work with them to develop marketing strategies within budget constraints.
  • Design and develop an e-marketing strategy and oversee production of e-newsletter
  • Develop and design organization’s collateral materials, including but not limited to brochures, newsletters, e-blasts, press kits, flyers, posters and others
  • Development, design, and use of digital platforms to send out of weekly e-newsletter and other email campaigns.
  • Website content update, creation and navigation
  • Create and manage the development, implementation and maintenance of writing and editorial standards for all publications to ensure consistency of style, language, and editorial quality
  • Digital marketing, including social media and others
  • Develop and cultivate media contacts
  • Identify opportunities to promote MBJCC in media, including the preparation of press releases & feature articles
  • Overseeing community outreach, media relations, marketing communications, direct marketing and e-mail marketing.
  • Develop and create high quality overall JCC image
  • Formulate agency marketing plan
  • Have an excellent working knowledge of the programming to enable cross promotion and overall marketing

 

Qualifications:

  • B.A. in a related field prefered
  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing, graphic design and/or communications preferred
  • Graphic design skills and social media skills
  • Proven ability to create production of broad variety of materials on diverse spectrum of subjects in engaging and imaginative style
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple and concurrent projects on tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of publication budget planning and monitoring
  • Self-starter; ability to work independently based on agreed-upon organization objectives
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Experience in digital marketing, particularly within the industry.
  • Experience managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media, and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Skill set and knowledge of WordPress
  • Knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, WebTrends, SEMRush, etc.)
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints preferred
  • Proficiency with content management systems and design software (Adobe Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, etc.)
  • Experience with ADOBE PREMIER AND AFTER EFFECTS preferred
  • Experience in working with digital display solutions preferred
