Join Our Religious School Staff at Temple Shalom in Medford!

Temple Shalom, a warm and welcoming egalitarian Conservative synagogue, is seeking passionate part-time Religious School Teachers. If you're skilled in teaching Hebrew reading and prayers, creative with children, and have experience in a Jewish camp, classroom, or youth group setting, we want to hear from you!

Position Details:

• Teach in our vibrant program for Grades Pre-K – 7
• classes meet Sunday mornings (9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.) and Wednesday afternoons (3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.)
•  Subjects include modern Hebrew, Hebrew prayers, Jewish values, holidays, Torah, history, and Israel
• You’ll have access to a comprehensive curriculum, teaching materials, and ongoing support, with collaboration with the director encouraged
• School year runs from September 8, 2024, to May 4, 2025

Requirements:

• A strong Jewish background
• Enthusiasm for working with children
• Willingness to apply best practices in lesson planning, with resources and training provided
