EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
THE JEWISH COMMUNITY RELATIONS COUNCIL OF GREATER PHOENIX

The Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Phoenix (JCRC), an independent
501(c)3 organization, seeks a new Executive Director (ED) to drive the next chapter of
our work. We advocate for the safety, integration, and well-being of the Jewish
community, which includes alliance building with others, all based on Jewish values.

OUR VISION

The Jewish Community Relations Council envisions an environment of fairness,
inclusion, and transparency, where trust, civil discourse, and consensus emerge
through mutually respectful dialogue, education, and action. Collaboratively engaging
within and outside of the Jewish community to improve our society, we consistently
reflect Jewish values in social and political advocacy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING
- Community Relationship building within and outside the Jewish community
- Government Relations & Advocacy
- Visionary and Strategic Leadership
- Fundraising and Financial Management
- Communication and Outreach
- Organizational Growth and Management including Board Development
- Other duties as assigned

DESIRED SKILLS, ABILITIES, CHARACTERISTICS
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including public speaking.
- Strong passion for and understanding of Jewish practices, customs, history, and
community infrastructure. Sensitivity to, and understanding of, the diversity within
the Jewish community, including denominations, traditions and political
affiliations.
- Robust understanding of contemporary antisemitism and current events
impacting the Jewish community.
- Support of Israel and understanding of its centrality to the Jewish people.
- Successful track record of partnering with and cultivating a Board of Directors
and managing staff.
- Experience with budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation.
- Knowledge of government affairs, legislative processes, and advocacy.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Community minded and committed to empowering others.
- Highly motivated, organized, strategic, and driven to succeed.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Jewish communal, nonprofit, public
- sector or related field.

- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred, with coursework
in social sciences, Jewish communal work, public affairs or related field
This is a full-time position with a competitive salary (range of $85,000 to $100,000
depending on experience) and benefit package. Benefits include flexible hybrid work
schedule, health and dental insurance, 401K (with match), as well as PTO, paid Jewish
holidays and early close on Shabbat.
