Program Coordinator and Event Leader for Young Jewish Families

Temple Shalom in Medford, MA is seeking a creative and energetic person to generate diverse monthly programming for families with young children (ages 0-7). Can you creatively develop and implement, both recurring and one-off, programs for this demographic, to add to our existing monthly repertoire? Programming should entertain and educate the current and growing population of young families who are Temple Shalom members, as well as attract new families looking for a synagogue community. Can you create and execute a PR plan to spread the word about these events? The Program Coordinator can host/run some events themselves, and/or hire others (within budget).

Approximately 8 hours/month
This is a one year position, extension possible if successful.

Candidates should be:

1. Familiar with Jewish holidays, values, basic rituals
2. Great with kids and parents
3. Able to use graphics programs such as Canva to create fliers
4. Familiar with social media for PR
5. Self motivated, and able to work well with others
6. Organized, able to plan events out a few months in advance
