Temple Emanu-El in Providence, RI is hiring for religious school teachers! Be part of a team of caring, creative educators inspiring the next generation of Jewish leaders. We strive to create an inclusive environment where each student is seen and supported.

We are hiring for the following SUNDAY positions (see our additional job postings for other opportunities).

1st / 2nd grade Sunday Teacher (Sundays 9:30 am - 12:30 pm)

Teaching positions are $35 - $50 / hr, depending on experience.

Job responsibilities include:

Planning lessons, based on templates in a curriculum binder
Adapting instruction to meet students' unique social/emotional, learning, and developmental needs
Supporting students during special opportunities throughout the day, including our "makers lab" and tefilah sessions

These positions offer connection to the Jewish community in Providence, mentorship with Director of Youth Education and Engagement Rachel Cohn, and great experience for anyone considering work in nonprofits, Jewish life, education, social work, and more. School year teaching positions include 2 days of paid time off.
