Congregation Cnesses Israel, Green Bay, Wisconsin, is seeking a part time spiritual leader. We are a small, well established, diversified, conservative leaning, friendly congregation, looking for an individual who can help lead us in several areas. These include but are not limited to:

• Services

• Pastoral care

• Life cycle events

• Adult education (no children’s religious school now but could be in future)

TIME COMMITMENT

On average, spend two (2) weekends per month plus High Holiday services and other holidays, agreed to in collaboration with the Ritual Committee and spiritual leader.

QUALIFICATIONS/DUTIES

• Pulpit experience preferred but not required

• Be enthusiastic about Judaism, our congregation and our current members

• Encourage prospective new members

• Able to guide our congregation and Board in developing programming and encouraging participation in all areas

• Support and comfort members as needs arise

• Lead adult education

• Lead life cycle events

• Team with the Ritual Committee (in person or via Zoom)

• Zoom transmission of Friday night services and Shabbat morning services if circumstances require

• Serve as an ex-officio member of the Board of Directors (in person or via Zoom/phone)

• Serve as mara d’atra (responsible for overseeing Jewish or religious facets of synagogue life)

• Collaborate with Rabbi Emeritus Shaina Bacharach and Cantor Bob Dick as appropriate
