Director of Residential Services

Ohel seeks a dynamic and innovative leader to serve as Director of its housing programs for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) located in NYC.   

This leader will have proven success in program management and have the ability to oversee existing programs as well as develop new services.  Responsibilities include program development and implementation, supervision including hiring, regulatory compliance, physical plant management, and budget preparation. Additional responsibilities include oversight and clinical interaction with families and individuals. In addition, this person will implement best practices for the betterment of the individuals served and create an environment of team building and mentoring staff throughout the programs they supervise. Opportunities exist to be involved in development of additional programs .

Successful candidate will have significant supervisory and leadership experience within the field of disabilities, will be intrinsically motivated, have the ability to work both independently as well as part of a group and have experience in building and maintaining relationships on all levels.  Must have excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills, a strong work ethic and excellent technology skills.  This full time position is based in Brooklyn, NY and has on call responsibility.  Position includes a competitive benefits package including health insurance and generous paid time off.

Salary: $150,000- $200,000
