THE JOB:
We are looking for a Part-time (approx. 5 hours/week) Fellowship Coordinator to help lead the Elie Wiesel Social Action Fellowship. This program seeks to create a space where young Jewish change-makers are provided the tools they need to put Torah learning into action and make a difference in their local communities. Fellows gather monthly for a 60-90 minute virtual meeting filled with learning and relationship building and each fellow will develop a community improvement project of their choice. The Fellowship Coordinator will be responsible for planning and facilitating monthly learning sessions as well as providing one-on-one mentorship for each fellow. Responsibilities also include marketing and reporting, and recruitment and selection of new cohorts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- prepare lesson plans for monthly group learning sessions, as well as facilitate and lead each session
- hold monthly one-on-one mentoring sessions with each fellow
- share fellowship updates internally and externally
AN IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- is passionate about Jewish learning
- cares deeply about social justice
- has a background in leadership development
- enjoys making connections and building relationships
- has some experience in the areas of program facilitation, volunteer management, community building, and mentorship
OTHER PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- college degree or equivalent years of work experience
- proficient use of Google Suite and Zoom
- organized self-starter who is able to work independently
- open to flexible work hours (some evenings and Sundays required)
THE POSITION:
- approx 5 hours per week
- $500 month
