Description

The Associate Account Manager plays a key role in supporting media relations and account management across 4–6 client accounts. This role is critical to ensuring that projects and deliverables are completed on time, meet internal quality standards, and exceed client expectations.

The Associate Account Manager’s day-to-day responsibilities are dynamic and include:

Client Support & Project Management

  • Collaborating with team members to produce high-quality deliverables and manage day-to-day client projects.
  • Monitoring project timelines, tracking deadlines, and ensuring all work is completed promptly.
  • Developing and nurturing strong client relationships by serving as a dependable point of contact.
  • Participating in client and internal team meetings to ensure alignment and progress.

Content Creation & Media Relations

  • Writing and editing a variety of materials, including media pitches, press releases, press kit documents, op-eds, bylines, blogs, website content, marketing collateral, and memos.
  • Building and maintaining successful relationships with journalists, bloggers, and influencers while identifying new outlets and opportunities for clients.
  • Proactively pitching story ideas to media, following up on opportunities, and handling incoming media inquiries to achieve optimal outcomes for clients.
  • Issuing press releases through newswire services and building targeted press lists using tools like Cision and manual research.

Strategic Insight & Research

  • Staying informed of key trends, industry developments, and competitive activity relevant to client accounts.
  • Contributing creative and strategic ideas to achieve client goals, including brainstorming for events, outreach efforts, and value-added initiatives.
  • Conducting research on events, conferences, speaking engagements, and awards to identify opportunities for clients.

Social Media & Reporting

  • Managing client social media channels, including creating, posting, and editing content while growing the audience.
  • Tracking and reporting media coverage, analyzing results, and providing actionable insights

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, communications, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in public relations, journalism, or a related field (agency experience preferred).
  • Experience in diverse industries; familiarity or experience in the pro-Jewish/Israel space is a plus.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to develop relationships with clients, media professionals, and influencers.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of media tools like Cision and newswire services.
  • A proactive, creative, and solutions-oriented mindset.
