Temple Sinai of Palm Desert (California) is seeking a dedicated and organized individual to serve as a part-time adminstrator. This role will be responsible for overseeing various office and facility functions, interacting with synagogue leadership and professionals and providing essential administration support.
Primary Responsibilites:
Office and Facility Management: Oversee day-to-day office operations and enusure a well-maintained facility. Maintain office supplies and equipment. Handle purchasing and vendor relations. Schedule and coordinate facility usage.
Membership Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for membership inquires and confidential matters. Process membership registrations and renewals. Maintain accurate membership records.
Administrative Support: Oversee and distribute weekly bulletins and work orders. Assist with the preparation of various documents and reports. Coordinate volunteer activities and schedules. Schedule security needs for the synagogue. Maintain sensitive files.
Communication and Collaboration: Interact effectively with synagogue leadership, staff and members. Work closely with the bookeeper on financial matters. Maintain relationships with outside vendors.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel). Knowledge of ShulCloud is a plus. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to multitask. Knowledge of Reform Jewish practice is ideal but not required.
