Position:
Jewish National Fund-USA seeks an experienced and visionary Chief Marketing Officer to join our team. You will be charged with creating innovative marketing and PR strategies across multi-media channels that build Jewish National Fund USA's brand and lead to increased awareness, fundraising revenue, relevance, and respect among the target audience. You will also be responsible for overseeing Israel Operation Marketing and coordination with our partners. This division incorporates all products and campaigns. This position is full-time based out of Jewish National Fund-USA's NYC office.
Job Responsibilities:
Marketing and Communications Department:
- Oversee all marketing and public relations across the US and manage a department of around 20 people as well as our marketing efforts in Israel.
- Manage the Marketing Director, Communications Director, Creative Director, Director Marketing Operations, Marketing Director for the World Zionist Village, Galilee Culinary Institute, Alexander Muss High School and the Israel Marketing Director.
- Oversee the support of the marketing & PR needs of all the fundraisers in the field and the 600+ events across the country as well as those of the National Departments – Planned Giving, Travel & Tours, Education, Alexander Muss High School, Affinity Groups, Major Gifts, National Campaigns, Global Conference for Israel, and Community Campaign.
- Oversee communications output which includes: Media pitches, press releases/media advisories, talking points, speeches, letters to editor, op-eds, copy for publications (i.e. Board of Directors, Year in Review, Robinson Report, State of the Union, the B'Yachad magazine) managing the JNF Wire service, crisis management, and media partnerships including JNS, JPOST, ILTV, i24 and more.
- Oversee managing and optimizing the website(s), all event collateral, email marketing, online registration, texting, national campaigns, PPTS, videos, advertising – print, digital, Google, radio, TV – project/partner flyers, narratives, donor proposals, social media – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, JNF blog, JNF Podcast, YouTube – and managing vendors.
- Oversee all aspects of managing the brand and its identity – adherence to brand guidelines, ensuring that our staff, lay leaders, and partners execute the brand properly, and updating/creating new material as the organization and its needs grow.
- Manage and grow the Marketing Committee of lay leaders across the country alongside the National VP of Marketing.
- Responsible for the Social Media Committee (run by the social media manager) that helps conceive of social media for Direct Mail and viral campaigns and content and brings to light studies and best practices in the social media arena. Using analytics and our fundraising teams to create new communication strategies within this segment of our donor base, with a goal of identifying donors for direct cultivation and a stronger focus of moving them up the giving ladder.
- Co-produce the marketing side of the national conference which includes all promotion of it, signage, collateral, programs, swag, photography, video, continuities, staging, set design, as well as the main Jewish National Fund USA plenary with major input on the rest.
- Responsible for any presentations made to any lay group
- Provide Fundraising, Education, and Advocacy fields with everything they need to be successful.
- Keep up-to-date information on our partners and projects and ensure it flows across all channels of the organization.
- Coordinate with Executive Management team and work with other national departments and lay leaders on vision, strategies, and campaigns.
- Oversee the marketing & PR of our 30+ affiliates and wholly owned entities in Israel which include the Galilee Culinary Institute, the World Zionist Village, and Alexander Muss High School.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing or an equivalent field.
- 10–15 years of experience as a marketing officer or an equivalent senior marketing leadership role
- Proven track record of developing, managing and executing wide-ranging marketing campaigns
- Proficiency in communications, business development strategies, customer experience enrichment, analytics and data-led marketing.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, mentor and develop marketing professionals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to leverage data and insights for informed decision-making
- Familiarity with marketing automation tools, Salesforce, and analytics platforms.
