We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Temporary Gift Processing Assistant to support our nonprofit organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for opening and sorting incoming mail, assisting with the processing of donations and payments, scanning and organizing documents, and recording information. Additionally, the candidate will conduct research using our CRM, Raiser’s Edge, to ensure donation information is accurate. This is a temporary position with a focus on accuracy, confidentiality, and timely completion of tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Open, sort, and batch incoming mail in a timely and organized manner.
• Perform research in Raiser’s Edge to update donor records and ensure accuracy.
• Assist with the preparation of deposits for financial reconciliation.
• Perform data entry tasks to ensure accurate recording of information, including donations, payments, and other relevant data.
• Scan and electronically organize digital and physical documents, including donation records and correspondence.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive donor and financial information.
• Perform other clerical duties as needed to support the operations team.
Qualifications:
• An associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred, but not required, High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Basic knowledge of office equipment, such as scanners and printers.
• Experience with Raiser’s Edge or other donor management systems is preferred.
• Experience in a nonprofit or administrative role is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Schedule:
• The position is Monday – Thursday 8:30 am – 5:30 pm on site in midtown Manhattan with the option of working remotely on Fridays from 8:30 am – 3 pm.
