Abraham Joshua Heschel School is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the Early Childhood Head and Division. The full-time work schedule is Monday 7:45 AM - 5:15 PM, Tuesday through Thursday 7:45 AM - 4:40 PM, and Friday 7:45 AM to 2:00PM. This is an on-site position.
The administrative assistant’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to: providing comprehensive administrative support to the Early Childhood Head, Early Childhood Associate Head, Early Childhood Hebrew Coordinator, and others as needed; scheduling meetings and maintaining the Early Childhood Head’s calendar; working with HR to onboard new Early Childhood Teachers; ensuring compliance with the Department of Health by maintaining required documentation as well as keeping up with changes; editing progress reports and ensuring that reports are sent to parents; editing and sending weekly newsletter; editing and uploading weekly newsletter; assisting with arrivals and dismissals; coordinating in-house events; covering the main reception area; collecting and submitting supply orders; maintaining staff attendance; submitting substitute timesheets; tracking events and managing logistics for room reservations, catering, supplies, etc.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional computer proficiency and the ability to navigate a variety of softwares and systems, including Google Workspace, Zoom Workplace, ADP WorkforceNow, a student information system, online ordering systems, etc. A successful candidate will demonstrate impeccable attention to detail and strong communication skills to effectively support our teachers and staff, parents, and children.

The full-time equivalent salary range is $55,000 - $65,000, depending on experience.
