Print Shop Manager

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Communicate with teachers to ensure the timely fulfillment of their in-person and online orders, manage Print Shop staff to ensure quality and efficient work and proper maintenance of Print Shop equipment, and assist in multi-department or organization-wide projects.

 

JOB DUTIES

  • Oversee and/or execute all processes related to print order fulfillment, including: intake, printing, packaging, labeling, and invoicing.
  • Be the primary point of contact in communicating with teachers about their printing needs.
  • Supervise Print Shop staff in:
    • The proper use of Print Shop equipment to optimize safety and longevity and minimize waste.
    • Assisting teachers with using ‘public’ equipment such as die cut and button makers.
    • Inventory maintenance.
    • Collecting and organizing customer order information for billing.
    • Assisting Creative Studio staff to prepare project kits as needed.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Print Shop machinery and hold equipment service providers accountable to keep printers updated and running smoothly.
  • Organize and compile teacher order information and printer usage for analysis.
  • Manage machinery service contracts, leases, and warranties.
  • Oversee Print Shop materials pricing

 

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Moderate walking, standing, prolonged sitting, bending, kneeling, and reaching
  • Work is performed primarily in an office and/or client site
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds to waist height

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong communication skills—whether in person, by email, or by phone
  • Knack for working with machinery and hands-on projects
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5+ years relevant experience preferred
  • Experience working with Microsoft Excel; Ability to learn technical software programs
  • Experience working with Adobe Suite a plus
  • Basic Judaic knowledge required

 

HOURS

Sundays / 9:30am–2pm 
Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays / 9am–5pm
Wednesdays / 3-9:30pm

Plus 5 remote flex hours

Closed Fridays; Closed Sundays during the summer months

Salary57,000.00 - 67,000.00 Annual
