Project Manager Consultant, Shabbat Across Atlanta

Consultant Project Description

The Consultant for Shabbat Across Atlanta is an experienced project management consultant who is expected to be available ~15 hours per week to create, oversee, and coordinate OneTable’s Shabbat Across Atlanta initiative in early 2025, thanks to generous support from the Zalik Foundation. The consultant will market Shabbat Across Atlanta through outreach to local Jewish organization and synagogue partnerships; coordinate or run Shabbat prep workshops; and complete administrative tasks related to this project.

The Project Management Consultant will contribute to OneTable’s mission by: 

1. Welcoming more people to the Shabbat table and striving to reach ambitious engagement goals for Shabbat Across Atlanta
2. Enriching the Shabbat experience for OneTable participants across age demographics with Shabbat prep workshops
3. Managing administrative functions, including reviewing online host applications, preparing spreadsheets, and contributing to the evaluation of the program
4. Representing OneTable as an ambassador in the community

Specific responsibilities include:

• Direct Support for Friday Night Dinner Hosts and Guests: Outreach, recruit, and involve new hosts and guests across the community via phone, email, and/or in-person meetings.
• Create Local Partnerships: In collaboration with OneTable team members and the program’s steering committee, identify and connect with local organizations, rabbis, and Jewish educators to involve new potential hosts, and create educational resources and discussion guides.
• Host Shabbat Prep Workshops: In partnership with local rabbis and Jewish educators, create, plan, market, and run, 5–8 in-person events incorporating Jewish learning for hosts and guests aimed at building excitement, enhancing skills, and fostering a deeper, more meaningful Shabbat dinner practice leading up to Shabbat Across Atlanta. (e.g. challah baking, candle making, wine tasting).
• Resources + Marketing: Work with the OneTable team to prepare and order customized Shabbat Across Atlanta materials (e.g. marketing toolkit, Shabbat dinner guide, swag).
• Administrative + Internal: Track participants, run reports, and analyze data in spreadsheets and through our Salesforce CRM. Contribute to grant reporting and other program-related communications.

Consulting Fee: In consideration for the above services, OneTable shall pay the Consultant a fee of $50/hour for ~15 hours per week. If your regular hourly rate is higher, let’s talk.

Location: Consultant must be based in the Greater Atlanta area.

Duration: This consulting contract will start in Fall 2024 and continue through early 2025.
