Hebrew / Judaic Studies Teachers for Children on Sundays September 2024 Queens/ Nassau Border

Job Description: We are looking for passionate and dedicated teachers to join our team and teach children on Sundays. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about working with kids, have experience with Reform synagogues, Ability to create engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners, and have a deep understanding of Jewish culture and traditions. This is a part-time position that requires regular availability on Sundays 9:30am-12:00pm.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for children on Sundays using our shalom learning curriculum.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and learning
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to ensure the smooth operation of the Sunday school program

(Optional) Individually tutor children to decode Hebrew letters, or chant Hebrew prayers, during the week over Zoom in half hour increments.
