Position Overview:

If you are looking to lead the operations of an active non-profit organization and make a real difference here is a great opportunity.  Temple B’nai Isreal is a warm and welcoming congregation with a strong financial base, beautiful new facility, religious and community programs, hardworking volunteers -- and great potential to continue to grow.  We are looking for the right person to work with us to establish the position of Temple Administrator who will report to the President of the Board and work cooperatively alongside our new Rabbi and volunteer committee chairs. The Temple Administrator will hire and supervise a small staff.

The goal is to create smooth and efficient:

  • Fiscal management;
  • Communications and publicity;
  • Volunteer and committee support;
  • Office and facility management;
  • Regular and special program coordination;
  • Website, event registration, and membership software experiences.

Developing positive relationships with members and prospective members, and the mid-shore community is key, as is helping maintain the warm and welcome atmosphere at our synagogue.

 6) Candidate Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Office software (MS Office, Google Suite, mass mailings, basic desktop publishing, Zoom) and the ability to learn Shul Cloud is critical in order to integrate our various software packages.
  • Ability to partner, collaborate, build, and maintain positive and productive relationships.
  • Exceptional organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, which includes the ability to communicate sensitively and diplomatically with all internal and external constituents.
  • Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
