Youth and Family Programming Administrator

Part-Time - 20 hour/week position. Effective immediately.

 

Dynamic, open modern Orthodox synagogue in Randolph NJ is launching a new teen/youth program and searching for a part-time youth and family programming administrator. Mt Freedom Jewish Center (MTFJC) is home to approximately 150 families and has around 50 students in Hebrew school.

 

The Program Administrator will supervise the launch of our exciting new Post B'nai Mitzvah Program and work with Membership on the creation of programs and activities that meet diverse needs, inspire our youth, and enhance our shul as a destination community.  In addition to creating and implementing programs, the administrator is responsible for all aspects of growing and marketing the programs to our constituency, managing program enrollment, and maintaining a positive social media presence.  

 

Role and Responsibilities

  1. Supervise the launch of the Post Bnai Mitzvah Program
    1. Create a center with programs that attract and retain teens as a place they want to come to socialize with their peers
    2. Plan and execute trips and events that are fun for teens and provide opportunities that promote socialization for the target age group
    3. Attend all events relative to the program and ensure a safe environment
    4. Market all events for this program via social media channels and other news outlets
    5. Partner with the Board and current committee of volunteers  to ensure the success of this  initiative
    6. Manage the assigned budget and identify funding needs for additional programs
    7. Grow the program by increasing enrollment via organic growth and new registrants

 

  1. Support volunteers in the execution of community events
    1. Publicize through social media and other local sources
    2. Ensure events are on the shulcloud (website) calendar and community calendars
    3. Meet regularly with committee heads to ensure event planning is progressing

 

  1. Create a monthly status report that is shared with the Board of Trustees 

 

Professional Requirements and Skills:

  • Strong Jewish identity and background in education/programming.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and leadership skills.
  • Experience working with youth/ teens.
  • Ability to manage social media presence (website, social media, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills

 

Salary range $30,000-$40,000, commensurate with experience.
