Position Overview:
The Director of Volunteer Experience will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing a comprehensive volunteer program that encompasses recruitment, training, engagement, and retention. This role will create an intentional arc of the volunteer journey, ensuring that every stage—from onboarding to alumni status—is enriching, educational, and mission-driven. The ideal candidate will be passionate about youth development, skilled in curriculum design, and dedicated to fostering leadership, growth, and community among our high school volunteers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Volunteer Recruitment: Develop and execute strategic recruitment plans to attract diverse high school volunteers from Maryland and D.C.
• Training & Development: Design and implement a comprehensive training curriculum that includes orientation, skill-building workshops, and leadership development.
• Ongoing Engagement: Create and oversee meaningful programs, including educational sessions, mission-driven activities, and fun community-building events.
• Program Design: Develop an overarching volunteer experience framework that aligns with imadi’s mission, values, and goals, incorporating a blend of service, education, and social impact.
• Curriculum Development: Design curriculum-based learning sessions, integrating themes related to pediatric healthcare, community service, and personal growth.
• Volunteer Support: Provide guidance and support to volunteers, fostering a positive, inclusive, and motivating environment.
• Metrics & Evaluation: Establish methods for tracking volunteer progress, satisfaction, and impact, using data to continuously improve the volunteer experience.
• Collaboration: Work closely with imadi staff, school liaisons, and community partners to enhance volunteer opportunities and support organizational initiatives.
