Shayna's Village is Shalom Orlando's hub for parenting support, social opportunities, high quality enrichments and family engagement. The Director of Shayna's Village & Parenting Ally will be responsible for overseeing the successful development and implementation of Shayna's Village Programs as well as providing parenting support to Shayna's Village and ECLC families. Located in Maitland, FL, Shalom Orlando is the center of Jewish life in Central Florida. This position requires the candidate to think, dream, and supervise staff as well as understand budgeting as we look to create the community organization for the next 50 years.
Summary: Reporting to the Chief Education Officer, The Director of Shayna’s Village & Parenting Ally serves as program designer for Shayna’s Village. They will create and run revenue producing programs for families, children & parents. They will oversee Shayna’s Village Members providing them with Shabbat programming and parenting advice. This position does include operational oversight. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, high-energy, organized, have high interpersonal skills, experience managing multiple people and personalities, a high level of creativity and deep knowledge and understanding of best practices in education and supporting children of varying needs.
Essential Responsibilities
- Create and run revenue producing programs for Shayna’s Village
- Hire and supervise contract employees to ensure continued programming
- Fundraise
- Connect Shayna Village Families with the ECLC
- Create programming for families
- Create programming for Preschool enrichment
- Attract families to Shayna’s Village programming
- Provide parenting support to Shayna’s Village Members and non-Members
- Create Parenting classes & lectures to support families
- Share programming through email, social media and other marketing channels
- Vision and design Shayna’s Village spaces
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- The Director of Shayna’s Village & Parenting Ally will supervise part-time Shayna’s Village employees and contract employees responsible for Shayna's Village programming
- Supervision includes and is not limited to professional growth, personal growth, program design, and program implementation

Salary Range - $20 - $30/hr.
