POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:

Senior Director of Aging Services is responsible for oversight of program and services for older adults insuring alignment with SJJCC’s mission and strategic goals.

ESSENETIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the needs of all seniors and best practices including vibrant seniors, individuals with dementia and other neuro degenerative illness and their families.

· Strategic visioning, developing and implementing programs and services based on the community’s needs while ensuring high-quality/ cutting edge support.

· Design, evaluate and expand programs for older adults with a growth mindset.

· Lead and mentor a team of professionals in achieving department goals.

· Identify new grant opportunities, produce reports and track associated reporting data.

· Build and maintain relationships with community partners to act as mutual referral source while identifying opportunities for fiscal support.

· Analysis data to inform program decisions, improvements and growth opportunities

· Oversight of monthly financials, annual budgets and resource allocation

· Collaborate with SJJCC Centers/ Departments to ensure comprehensive support in both Aging Centers and with SJJCC agency at large.

· Oversight on compliance for NCOFA & NSOFA and other governing bodies

· Public speaking engagements, tabling at conferences and networking.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7-10 years supervisory experience working in comparable setting.
  • LMSW / LCSW, Healthcare Admin,
  • Experience working with Aging Services
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of Office for the Aging regulations a plus
  • Communication skills including strong interpersonal skills
  • Exhibit patience, initiative, enthusiasm, resourcefulness and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to provide leadership and motivation to staff and work effectively with diverse groups of people.
  • Flexible hours, may require including weekends and evening
Salary75,000.00 - 90,000.00 Annual
