About Us: Hebrew Academy Miami is a Modern Orthodox Jewish day school in Miami Beach, Florida serving students from early childhood through 12th grade. We are committed to academic excellence, Jewish values, and fostering a love of Torah in a nurturing and dynamic environment. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver effective Hebrew language lessons that align with school curriculum standards and objectives.
• Instruct students in Hebrew reading, writing, and speaking, as well as Israeli culture and history.
• Develop and implement assessment strategies that measure student progress and inform instructional practices.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and student engagement.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and classroom policies and expectations.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Hebrew language, Jewish studies, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Teaching certification and experience in Hebrew language instruction required; experience in an Orthodox Jewish day school setting preferred.
• Knowledge of Israeli culture and history.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
