Middle School Math Teacher

Yavneh Day School, an independent Jewish day school in Los Gatos, CA is seeking a middle school math teacher for the 2024-25 school year initially temporary.   Applicants must be proficient in 6th-8th grade general math, beginning and advanced algebra and geometry, and have an understanding of a concept-based math program. Position includes serving as a middle school advisor and teaching in the electives program.







Specific requirements and expectations:



•At least three years of classroom experience, with a demonstrated focus on math education.



•Bachelors degree in Mathematics Education (Single Subject Teaching Credential in Math, Masters Degree and Singapore Math experience preferred.)



•An effective Yavneh middle school teacher has a thorough knowledge of cognitive and social-emotional development, uses a variety of teaching techniques, incorporates technology into the classroom, establishes positive relationships with students, communicates with parents, collaborates with colleagues, initiates professional development, supports the mission, serves outside the classroom and adheres to professional standards and models integrity and respect.







This middle school math position is an academic year, full time salaried position. It may also include school-wide responsibilities as Math Coordinator. Salary will be competitive based upon experience and qualifications. Position includes health, dental, and retirement benefits.
