Maternity Leave: General Studies Special Education Teacher, Irving Montak SINAI School at SAR

SINAI Schools is seeking a highly motivated General Studies lower school teacher to serve as a maternity leave replacement beginning after Pesach (April 22) and continuing through the end of the school year at its Irving Montak SINAI School at SAR campus. 

Irving Montak SINAI School at SAR Academy, for students in kindergarten through eighth grade, is located in Riverdale, NY. Students have a wide range of developmental, intellectual, and complex learning disabilities, and are grouped into multi-graded classes according to their social, academic, and emotional profiles to create appropriate peer groups.

Responsibilities

• Teaching Special Education General Studies to students with special needs 
• Collaborate with co-educators and parents to facilitate the most productive environment possible for each individual’s learning needs.      

Qualifications

• 3-5 years teaching experience, preferably within a special education setting
• Knowledge of Orthodox Judaism a plus

The expected salary range is between $60,000-$90,000 (based on full-time equivalent).
