Position Overview:
We seek a dedicated and organized Administrative Manager to provide comprehensive support to our clergy and executive leader (CCEO). This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our synagogue's daily activities, programs, and communications. The Administrative Manager will collaborate closely with clergy, CCEO, volunteers, and synagogue members, reporting directly to the CCEO. This position is vital in coordinating synagogue operations and improving administrative efficiency. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, customer-focused, technically adept, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment that presents new daily challenges and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide clergy and executive leadership with high-level administrative support, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating appointments.
• Be instrumental in preparing and organizing materials for worship services, holidays, life-cycle events, and other religious or community programs, thereby contributing to the successful execution of these events.
• Be the voice of the synagogue leadership by drafting, proofreading, and distributing correspondence, newsletters, and announcements on their behalf.
• Maintain and oversee accurate records of memberships, donations, and key contacts using synagogue CRM database systems (e.g., ShulCloud).
• Serve as a key point of contact for congregants seeking assistance with clergy appointments, religious services, or general inquiries.
• Manage office operations, including supplies, mail distribution, workflow processes, and support for other administrative staff if applicable.
• Collaborate with clergy, department heads, and lay leaders to ensure effective communication and alignment of organizational goals.
• You will have the opportunity to identify and implement the best practices, enhancing our operational efficiency and contributing to our growth.

Qualifications:
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with synagogue management software (e.g., ShulCloud), CRM, or a willingness to learn.
• Experience supporting senior leadership and working across nonprofit or religious organizations is highly preferred.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
• Experience working with volunteers to achieve goals
• Familiarity with Jewish traditions, holidays, and synagogue culture is highly desirable.

Work Environment:

This position is based on-site at our synagogue and may include occasional evening or weekend hours to support special events or services.
