Position: Facilities & Logistics Project Manager
Compensation: $65,000-$75,000 salary based on experience, plus benefits
Reports to: Director of Operations
Hours: Full-time, flexible schedule; some evenings and weekends required

Valley Beth Shalom, a vibrant and dynamic Conservative synagogue in Encino, has been a cornerstone of Jewish community life for 75 years, serving more than 1,200 families. We are seeking a Facilities & Logistics Manager—a hands-on, detail-oriented professional who will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our synagogue’s facilities and events. This is more than just a logistics job—it’s an opportunity to be at the heart of our bustling institution, making sure every gathering, service, and experience is impactful.

As the Facilities & Logistics Manager, you will be a key player on our Operations Team, working collaboratively to oversee daily facility operations, event logistics, scheduling, and maintenance coordination. You will be the go-to person for ensuring that every event, from Shabbat services to community programs, is set up for success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of our facilities, ensuring a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for congregants, staff, and visitors.
  • Manage event logistics, coordinating with various departments to execute seamless setups and A/V needs.
  • Develop and maintain scheduling systems, balancing multiple programs and priorities across our active campus.
  • Serve as the point person for vendor coordination, repairs, and risk management, ensuring timely maintenance and quality service.
  • Assist in budgeting, procurement, and vendor negotiations to maximize resources effectively.
  • Lead emergency preparedness efforts, ensuring safety protocols are up to date and effectively communicated.
  • Provide on-site support during programs, including some evenings and weekends, to ensure everything runs smoothly.
