Interim Director of the Margaux Early Childhood School at Temple Judea

The Margaux School at Temple Judea is a national leader in Reggio and Judaic education for children ages 15 months to Prekindergarten. This temporary position is responsible for supporting the Director of Education in the supervision and operations of the Margaux School. This is an intentionally inclusive program, and the Interim Director will need to support non-Jewish families as thoughtfully as they do our members. They will support programming, scheduling and class placement. They will support the management of program documentation including licenses, and accreditations. They will serve as a critical member of the Temple leadership in partnership with the Director of Education and the Early Childhood Committee to implement safe, nurturing and inclusive programs to build community among families and enrich the experiences of the children.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Instructional leadership:
- Implement the support systems that ensure that all programs align with the vision of the organization.
- Support the implementation of an enhanced, integrated, Jewish, and developmentally appropriate constructivist curriculum and programs.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing timely feedback to parents and staff.
- Collaborate with teachers to create engaging and effective lesson plans.
- Culture Builder:
- Promote an inclusive, nurturing and engaging atmosphere which reflects respect and compassion and is supportive of and accessible to all children, families and staff regardless of religious affiliation, race, ethnicity, gender identity or sexual orientation.
- Address parent concerns and questions promptly and professionally.
- Talent Supervisor:
- Support the Director of Education to oversee personnel management including: recruitment, hiring, supervision, retention, professional development and promotion
- Operations Manager:
- Support in the implementation and monitoring of annual and quarterly program budgets, purchasing and revenue.
- Ensure the health and safety of all participants through compliance with Florida state licensing and NAEYC accreditation.
- Support the oversight of facility maintenance and safety inspections.
- Support the implementation of enrollment and tuition processes.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in education, child development or related field.
- Three years of teaching in early childhood or a PK-2 educational setting.
- Working knowledge of the Reggio curriculum and constructivist
- A minimum of two years of supervision in an educational setting.
- Director Credential Level 1 in Florida or from a state with reciprocity.
- Demonstrated experience in program design and implementation with young children and their families.
- Experience with effective financial management and strategic planning tools.
- Excellent written and oral communication
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least two years of supervision in an Early Childhood educational setting.
- Expert in both Reggio and Play-based Constructivist Pedagogy.
- Knowledge of Jewish life, traditions and culture, as well as an ability to integrate these concepts appropriately into the program, environment and with staff.
- Master's degree in early childhood education or childhood development.
- Director level Florida state licensure with VPK Endorsement.

Salary and Benefits:
- Salary range: $5-6,000 per month based on experience and preferred qualifications
