In the heart of New York City is Ramaz - a Modern Orthodox Day School with a rich history of Jewish education, academic distinction, and nurturing of individual abilities and aspirations. The Ramaz School is a leading Manhattan independent school, located on the Upper East Side, with 1,000 students N-12, serving the NY and Tri-State area Jewish Community. It operates from three main sites (ECC/LS, MS and US), with over 300 employees.

The Ramaz School is seeking a Lower School General Studies Learning Specialist for the 2025-2026 school year.

 The ideal candidate for this position will:

• Support the academic, social, and emotional development of students
• Provide direct, multisensory instruction in small group settings to strengthen reading, writing, and math skills
• Assess students regularly in order modify instruction as needed, and to document progress
• Collaborate with members of the Learning Center team, classroom teachers, and outside providers to carefully plan instruction and best support the students
• Communicate with parents regarding progress, and the strategies used to support their child
• Develop positive relationships with colleagues and families

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and skilled special educator to become part of a collaborative team, working with an energetic faculty and embracing research-based practices to support students. Master’s degree in special education and relevant teaching experience required.
