Club Z - Regional Manager NYC 

Position Title: Regional Manager, New Jersey, Livingston

Type: Full-Time, Salaried, Exempt

Level: Mid-Level

Reports to: Regional Director

 

Summary:

The Regional Manager is someone that grows the Club Z community as they work with teens,parents, volunteers, and community members creating and facilitating impactful and dynamic programs reflecting a commitment to Zionism and advocacy for Israel and the Jewish people.

We are looking for an extremely positive candidate who will compliment our fast-pace startup culture, that brings innovation and creativity to the role, someone who is ready to be challenged and excited about creating a community in a grassroots fashion. The Regional Manager is expected to be highly collaborative to meet the Club Z work culture and spend the majority of their time in the field building the community. They should be a self-starter, creative, analytical, and a detail oriented go-getter, who combines their passion for Israel with organizational and professional acumen alongside the mission of Club Z.

Essential Functions:

  • Serve as the Regional point of contact with the assigned community.
  • Implement Club Z growth strategy by recruiting new students/families to participate in Club Z.
  • A bold advocate in the realm of Israel activism, unafraid to take a stand and exude pride in their convictions.
  • Lead programming logistics from planning to execution with guidance from Regional Director.
  • Establish, build, and maintain strong relationships with the teens and parents and the local community 
  • Teach and facilitate Club Z curriculum and programming, as an extension of the Educator as needed.
  •  Build and foster partnerships with synagogues/schools/Jewish youth movements and further opportunities to build a strong Club Z presence.
  • Coordinate, assist, and facilitate community events, social activities and parlor meetings focused on instilling a commitment to Zionism and a focus on community building.
  • Support the Educator and/or Speaker, and the Regional Director actively facilitate and engage in weekend and/or evening institute (learning) sessions to further build a robust community at your local Club Z chapter.
  • Work directly with teen leaders to grow the impact of Club Z through invitations to come speak at the teens’ synagogue/school/Jewish youth club etc.
  • Help develop and promote a culture of learning and leadership within the Club Z teen community through mentorship
  • Create meaningful opportunities to expose new families to the work of  Club Z.
  • Proactively utilize social media through own/professional profiles to engage the Club Z community and expand Club Z’s reach. Assist and distribute communication and marketing for the region.
  • Adhere to usage of all Club Z systems & tools, maintain all proprietary information following organizational protocols
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff when such responsibilities are assigned.

Experience & Knowledge Requirements:

  • The candidate must have a passion and be in close alignment with the mission and principles of Club Z.
  • Experience working with youth, especially ages of 13-22;
  • Experience in advocacy and activism
  • Experience working with parents and students with the ability to coach and mentor 
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit, a self-motivated employee who takes initiative
  • Strong ability to work in a team in a fast-paced environment and execute projects efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • 3+ years community outreach & organizing experience
  • 1-3+ years in a professional leadership position with a proven track record of accomplishments.
  • Previous experience in managing junior personnel is a plus.
  • Experience of successfully cultivating and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills; strong presentation, and public speaking skills.
  • Strong ability in multitasking and prioritization
  • Knowledge of social media; ability to create and promote content.
  • Must be able to travel locally and nationally as the role may require.

Qualifications

  • Must be willing to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
  • Tech competent with great knowledge of digital communication and social media, open to learning new online spaces and tools.
  • Maintain accurate data to maintain constituent and partner information utilizing Club Z tools.
  • Expert level proficiency with Google Office Suite,  Microsoft Office applications and Mac OS applications.
  • Ability to learn relevant tools, software systems and databases as needed
  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred

One of the fundamental components of Club Z’s work is activism. We educate and train our teens to be the next generation of proud Zionist activists. To this end, we provide our teens with activism opportunities, including, but not limited to, speaking at city council meetings and pro-Israel rallies, attending counter-protests and anti-Israel events, bringing speakers into their high schools, etc. As part of the role of Regional Directors, Managers, and Educators, the PandE and Education teams are responsible for mentoring and guiding teens to build their activism skills. As a result, PandE and Education staff are expected to attend activism events with their teens within their region to provide leadership and set an example for their community.

Headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area, Club Z connects teens to Israel, Jewish history, and each other. With several national chapters and grounded in dynamic and unique educational curricula, Club Z engages students around their Jewish identity, develops their leadership skills, and creates a powerful network of knowledgeable, articulate, and effective activists.

This is an Exempt, full-time role requiring on-site/in-person presence as well as occasional travel locally, regionally and nationally. Applicants must be authorized to work and be based in the US.
