Position: Mommy & Me Instructor

Job Summary:
The Mommy & Me Instructor is responsible for conducting engaging and educational classes designed for both mothers (or caregivers) and their children. These classes aim to foster bonding, support developmental milestones, and provide a supportive community for parents and their young ones.

Key Responsibilities:

• Class Preparation:
• Design age-appropriate activities and lesson plans that encourage parent-child interaction.
• Gather necessary materials and resources for each class session.
• Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all participants.
• Instruction:
• Lead interactive sessions that focus on promoting physical, cognitive, and social development in children.
• Guide parents on effective ways to support their child's learning and growth.
• Incorporate music, movement, storytelling, and other creative elements to keep classes engaging.
• Parental Support:
• Offer guidance and advice to parents on child-rearing topics, developmental milestones, and parenting techniques.
• Foster a supportive community where parents can share experiences, ask questions, and build connections with each other.
• Communication:
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding class updates, upcoming events, and child progress.
• Provide feedback and recommendations to parents on ways to enhance their child's learning and development at home.
• Administration:
• Maintain accurate records of class attendance, participant feedback, and any incidents or concerns.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in early childhood education, child development, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to engage children and parents in a positive and energetic manner.
• Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate activities.
• CPR and First Aid certification may be required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, sit, and move around for extended periods.
• Lift and carry supplies, equipment, or children if necessary.
• Adapt to various indoor and outdoor environments where classes may be held.

Schedule:
The Mommy & Me Instructor may work part-time or full-time, depending on class schedules.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 36 per week
