Finance Manager

Pressman Academy, a thriving early childhood-8th Grade School in Los Angeles that is part of Temple Beth Am, is looking for our next Finance Manager. 

An integral member of the school leadership, the Finance Manager works with all key stakeholders to manage the current budget and support the ongoing financial operations of the school. These duties include:

• Budgeting and financial analysis
• Overseeing the tuition assistance program
• Managing the administration of student enrollment
• Working with Human Resources and payroll management 

The Finance Manager reports directly to the Head of School and works closely with the school’s Budget & Finance Committee as well as with the Controller and the synagogue’s finance department. 

This is currently considered a temporary position but has the potential to become permanent.

Qualified applicants will:

• Have a minimum of two (2) years of previous experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential job functions
• Demonstrate the ability to communicate with a wide range of constituencies, including parents, faculty, staff and members of the school Board. 
• Demonstrate personal integrity as well as a strong work ethic.
• Have a degree in finance, accounting, business or the equivalent

While not required, previous experience with Blackbaud, Tuition Management and Financial Edge is a plus.

Salary and Benefits

• Salary range: $65,000-$80,000 annual salary
