We are seeking a creative, organized, and personable individual to join our team as a K-8 Family Engagement Specialist. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for fostering meaningful connections within the Jewish community. This role is instrumental in creating and executing dynamic programming for children, teens, and families.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Program Planning and Execution

  • Plan and implement engaging programs for K-8 students and families, coordinating logistics such as space, decorations, food, and vendors.
  • Collaborate with a parent group to design meaningful, innovative programming.
  • Represent the Director of K-8 Education at overlapping events as needed.

Community Engagement

  • Greet and connect with families during religious school and programs, answering questions and fostering relationships.
  • Organize and lead family education programs.
  • Coordinate and supervise volunteers to support events and ensure smooth execution.

Marketing and Communication

  • Promote programs through social media, creating engaging content for Facebook and Instagram.
  • Develop and distribute promotional materials, including calendars and reminders for families.
  • Stop by classrooms to share information about upcoming programs directly with students.

Relationship Building

  • Conduct one-on-one meetings with prospective members to welcome and integrate them into the community.
  • Revitalize and support USY/Jr. USY programs and build partnerships with schools, camps, and other organizations.
  • Strengthen connections with teens and families through tailored outreach.

Data Management and Follow-Up

  • Track participation and identify opportunities to reconnect with disengaged members.
  • Maintain engagement records and organize photos for immediate sharing on the religious school Facebook page and with the broader marketing team.

 

Experience and Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and marketing best practices.
  • Familiarity with Jewish education, programming, and traditions.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and data management systems preferred.

The position will be in-person with some flexibility to work remotely.
