Judaism Your Way (JYW) is a 20-year-old Colorado-based Jewish organization creating innovative approaches for Jews and their loved ones to connect to Jewish life. WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Develop and oversee programs designed for families with children, including Open Tent Be Mitzvah, Changing the World Together, and other engaging Jewish experiences for families.
- Teach and facilitate engaging, inclusive Jewish educational experiences.
- Collaborate with JYW staff to enhance outreach, recruitment, and engagement of families.
- Build relationships with families, helping them navigate their Jewish journeys in an inclusive and supportive manner.
- Partner with JYW’s communications and development team to promote programs through various channels and engage new families in JYW offerings.
- Align family programming with JYW’s mission and strategic goals.
FOR OUR TEAM, I PLAY THE ROLE OF
- Warm Connector – Creating meaningful relationships with families with children and guiding them in their Jewish exploration.
- Creative Educator – Designing and leading innovative, accessible Jewish experiences for families and children.
- Program Architect – Organizing and executing engaging and impactful Jewish programs and events, especially our Open Tent Be Mitzvah Program for emerging teens and their parents.

LISTING OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Young Family Life Programming:
- Develop, plan, and lead family-focused programs, including Changing the World Together.
- Identify and cultivate partnerships with organizations that align with JYW’s mission to enhance family engagement.
- Work with the marketing team to promote programs and engage new families.
- Education and Engagement:
- Direct, teach and facilitate engaging Jewish educational experiences for teenagers through our Open Tent Be Mitzvah program.
- Provide resources and support for families exploring Jewish traditions and values.
- Ensure programs are welcoming and inclusive for diverse Jewish backgrounds and interfaith families.
- Event Coordination and Supervision:
- In partnership with the Education Coordinator, oversee logistics for family programs, including venue coordination, materials preparation, and volunteer management.
- Supervise educators and volunteers involved in family programs to ensure a high-quality experience.
- Strategic Collaboration and Leadership:
- Work with JYW leadership to align family education programs with the organization’s strategic goals.
- Represent JYW in the broader community as a leader in inclusive Jewish family engagement.

Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must have at least five years of successful experience in Jewish education, program development, or family engagement. Strong knowledge of Jewish traditions, holidays, and values is required. Commitment to maximal Jewish inclusion, especially with interfaith and mixed-heritage families is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Clergy training and experience leading lifecycle rituals and services. JYW is a lab for emerging clergy and would consider applicants who are at least halfway through clergy school.
Work Expectations
This position requires regular evening and weekend availability, including Shabbat programming, holidays, and lifecycle events. Participation in High Holiday services and other major community events is required.
Compensation/Benefits
Compensation: $80,000 - $95,000/year
Benefits: Employer covers medical health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance (up to $15,000 coverage), 403 (b) plan – 1.5% match after 6-month vesting period, and program fees (including Open Tent Be Mitzvah program). This position includes generous PTO, personal time, and paid time off for national and some Jewish holidays.
