About the Role:
As the Community Social Worker (CSW), you’ll play a vital role in enhancing the lives of those we serve. From assessing needs and coordinating services to planning and managing impactful programs, you’ll make a tangible difference in our community. This is your chance to provide care, empower others, and help build community.

Key Responsibilities:
You’ll help care for Jews in need by:

  • Providing Case Management: Assist individuals and families with accessing senior services, therapist referrals, food programs, transportation, and more.
  • Coordinating Services: Connect clients to local resources, from home care agencies to affordable housing options.
  • Engaging the Community: Run programs like Kosher Meal Delivery and Grocery Gift Card initiatives, while expanding donor support and applying for grants.
  • Coordinating Volunteers: recruit and manage volunteers to help run different programs.
  • Creating Meaningful Programs: Organize support groups, LGBTQ+ events, and the annual Yom HaShoah commemoration.
  • Collaborating: Work with Rabbis, community partners, and Federation committees to amplify our impact.
  • Grant Making: apply for relevant grants to increase the income to support our clients and programs.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A compassionate, team-oriented individual with experience working with seniors.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (BSW) is required; an MSW or LCSW is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Jewish holidays, traditions, and culture.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and respect for confidentiality.
  • A valid driver’s license, vehicle, and COVID-19 vaccination.

Why Join Us?

  • Flexible schedule: 30 hours per week.
  • Competitive hourly wage.
  • Paid PTO and holidays.
  • Work perks: A work-provided cellphone and membership to the Jewish Network of Human Services.
  • Professional growth: Be part of an organization with a long legacy that is continuously growing, creating new initiatives and expanding our impact. At the Federation we believe in personal and professional growth, we offer access to many training and learning opportunities through JFNA, and we are open to discussing participation in conferences or other relevant trainings.
  • Meaningful work: Support the Jewish community locally and globally.
