Religious School Teacher

Job Location: Temple Sinai of Roslyn, Roslyn Heights, NY

Compensation: $55 - $75 per hour based on experience

Job Type: Part-Time Religious School Teacher

Temple Sinai of Roslyn Religious School, a dynamic, innovative, and friendly community, is looking for creative, energetic Teachers for grades K-6. This is a part-time position. Our classes are weekdays 4:00-6:00pm. 

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Hebrew is required
• Weekday availablilty is required 
• Experience with educational technology and experiential education a plus
• Ability to lead and instruct students of different abilities
• Enthusiastic and fun
• Professional and collaborative spirit
• Willingness to be mentored, to grow, and to learn

Job Responsibilities:

• Creat detailed lesson plans to provide a cohesive and consistent learning experience for the students
• Manage the classroom effectively to encourage student participation, minimize distraction and maintain a positive learning environment
• Adapt teaching methods to fit the needs of the students 
• Supervise students in and out of the classroom, including the halls, during specials and in the parking lot

Work is performed in a synagogue, in a professional, team focused environment
