B’NAI MITZVAH COORDINATOR ~ Administrative Assistant
The B’nai Mitzvah Coordinator manages all aspects of the B’nai Mitzvah process from start to finish, working closely with b’nai mitzvah families, tutors and clergy. Must be well organized, patient and a comprehensive communicator. Attention to detail is a must. Competency with Google Office Suite, Microsoft Office. Willingness to learn Shul Cloud Database and Salesforce if not already proficient. Person should be pro-active and work well independently, as well as exude a cheerfulness and positive attitude.
Duties to include but not limited to:
o Identifying families of the congregation with children aging up to B’nai Mitzvah preparation.
o Send out reservation forms and letters.
o Organize all reservation forms and set date matching meeting with ED, Senior Rabbi and Religious School Rabbi Head.
o Send out confirmation of dates to families.
o Coordinate November’s B’nai Mitzvah Retreat.
o Coordinate B’nai Mitzvah Orientations for the students.
o Assemble study materials.
o Coordinate with clergy and educators to assess Hebrew readiness of B’nai Mitzvah.
o Schedule meetings throughout the B’nai Mitzvah experience with the Rabbis, Cantor and tutors.
o Send reminders of weekly appointments.
o Write up the B’nai Mitzvah biographies for the VOICE publication.
o Update the J Weekly as to any changes in our B’nai Mitzvah Calendar.
o Other Administrative duties as assigned.
