Development Coordinator

American Society of the University of Haifa (ASUH) seeks an exceptional, results oriented development professional to be its Development Coordinator. A successful candidate will be a dynamic and organized individual with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with ASUH team members across the United States and the University of Haifa team in Israel.

Reporting to the ASUH Chief Operating Officer, the Development Coordinator will support ASUH’s front-line fundraisers in New York and throughout the country. The Development Coordinator will provide essential operational and administrative support to assist in increasing ASUH’s fundraising success.

A successful candidate will have at least two years of experience in fundraising administration or operations. The Development Coordinator must understand and be committed to ASUH’s mission of supporting University of Haifa by cultivating relationships, securing financial support, and serving as a vital connection with friends, supporters, alumni and partners. The Development Coordinator has a unique opportunity to play a supporting role in shaping an internationally influential university.

Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with operations and fundraising staff to support ASUH’s mission and fundraising goals
• Collect and disseminate program information from the University
• Draft donor acknowledgements
• Support front-line fundraisers with Salesforce, including database entry and gift processing
• Develop and analyze donation information from Salesforce for the front-line fundraisers

• Draft donor reports and proposals
• Format and finalize student letters and stories
• Work closely with the national team on development strategy, materials, and events
• Collect and distribute weekly activity reports and team meeting agendas
• Provide direct administrative support to the CEO
• Help manage tracking systems for foundation proposals, reports and materials
• Maintain Standard Operating Procedures for ASUH staff
• Conduct outreach to annual fund donors
• Draft quarterly KPI report for the University of Haifa
• Support other administrative tasks and assume other responsibilities as needed

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• At least two years of success in fundraising or operations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Self-confident and articulate; motivated self-starter
• Ability to multi-task and support multiple people with different projects at the same time
• Computer literacy, comprehensive knowledge of computer software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Experience with donor management database systems, ideally Salesforce
• Ability to learn new technology quickly
