Chief Planning & Programming Office

The Chief Planning and Programming Officer(CPPO) will be responsible for overseeing all planning components for the Jewish Federation of Greater Rochester, including, but not limited to the planning & allocations process, engagement with partner agencies, and implementing the Federation’s strategic plan. The CPPO will manage the creation and development of a comprehensive, strategic, year round plan for all programming for the Jewish Federation of Greater Rochester.



The position reports to the CEO for the Jewish Federation of Greater Rochester.


The Chief Planning & Programming Office will have primary responsibility for the following:


Supervision: Supervise Director of Community Relations/Levine Center to End Hate, Jewish Education and Engagement, Israel Programming, Young Adult Programming, Marketing


Planning

Planning & Allocations : staff the Planning & Allocations Committee and all related sub-committees, including but not limited to Israel and Overseas, local agency panels, and college services; coordinate mini missions with partner agencies; oversee distribution process.


Community Planning: Coordinate follow up and next steps to 2019/20 Community Study; manage process for shared expenses with local agencies.


Governance: Manage process for governance, staffing the Governance committee and related task forces.


Programming

Federation Planning: Oversee and coordinate Federation yearly program planning, ensuring focus on mission and engagement; maintain program calendar.


Partnership Together (P2G): staff the P2G Rochester and Joint Steering committees; oversee all P2G programs, including, but not limited to Education Bridge, ShinShinim, Journey for Identity (JFI), Ramim, Grandparents Initiative (G2)


Community Programming: Serve as liaison with community agencies developing community program calendar and partnering.

Qualifications: the ideal candidate will have the following skills and background:

· Five to eight years (minimum) experience in a Jewish Federation or other non-profit setting or similar years of experience in strategic planning in another environment.

· Supervisory experience

· Ability to coach and motivate staff and volunteers

· Substantial knowledge of Jewish life and Jewish community issues, organizations, and needs

· Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

· Comfort with an informal, collaborative workplace
