Mid size growing non profit in Rockville Maryland is looking for a full-time Controller/Director of Operations to handle all aspects of accounting and finance, human resource/benefit administration, and other administrative issues for this $MM budget organization. You will be the financial arm of the organization. Must have non profit accounting experience.
Full cycle accounting through QuickBooks Online including processing detail receipt transactions, monthly close and financial statement preparation, use of Bill.com and Expensify for vendor and staff reimbursement payments, use of Paychex for semi monthly payroll submission and 403b submissions.
Work with management to prepare a detailed annual budget; preparation for annual audit and IRS 990 with independent accountants; charity registrations.
Involvement in employee and corporate insurance renewals; contracts review; grant budget proposals and reporting; endowment and restricted fund tracking.
Interact with board members and be the liaison for the Investment and Audit Committees. Responsible for monitoring investments and cash flow.
Works closely with Executive Director, Associate Director, Executive Assistant and Office Manager. Excellent attention to detail, outstanding communication skills and superior organization skills required for success in this position.
